As many of you know, Ellensburg, Church of Christ will be resuming in person worship services beginning this Sunday June 14th at 10 am. As wonderful as this news is, there are required measures which must be taken to help prevent the potential exposure to COVID-19 and remain in compliance with the state regulations. We will be operating at 25% capacity in our auditorium, which roughly equates to 35 people. Thus, if you are in a high-risk category for COVID-19 (over 70 years old, heart disease, diabetes, compromised immune system or respiratory issues), we encourage you to stay home and attend the service with YouTube Live. If you have a temperature, feel ill at all, or have any respiratory symptoms we ask that you attend service virtually as well.
There are several other requirements which we will need to uphold if we are going to move forward with our in-person services. These include but are not limited to the following:
· Masks must be worn by all in attendance. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you.
· Seating must be in-keeping with social distancing requirements
· The kitchen area will not be in use during service times
· The South door (fellowship hall) will be our main entrance point, and the West door (Auditorium) will be our Exit point.
· We will not be using Song books, all songs will be projected on the main projector.
· The facility will be sanitized after each gathering.
· There will be signage within the building to make further instructions clear.
· We will have service only, not Sunday morning bible class nor children’s classes.
The re-opening of our facility, albeit in a limited capacity, is something over which we should all rejoice. The last months have been tough on us all and it will be a true joy to see and talk to one another again.
“Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say, rejoice!” (Phil 4:4)
